Q: I cannot log on to my computer?

All users : Network issue (investigation needed into Server and Cabling)
One user : Reset password. If this does not work – potentially a network issue

Q: I cannot send or receive emails?
Is this affecting every one of just one user?

All users: Investigation into Server and Domain connection
One user: Reset password. If this does not work – potentially a network issue

Q: I cannot print from my PC but I used to be able to.
Is this affecting every one of just one user?

All users: Reboot Printer and if problem still occurs look into Network / Cabling issue
One user: Is the printer installed locally and have you got connection to the server?

Q: My mobile phone is not working.

Reboot and if still not working call network provider

Q: My PC seems to have frozen, unable to type or open any application.

Reboot your PC, if this does not work please contact us.

Q: My PC is on but my monitor is not displaying anything

Check the monitor has power and is connected. Also is the power light on?
Might require replacement monitor after investigation.

Q: My laptop is not charging when connected to a power supply?

Investigation into cabling and possible replacement of battery or power supply unit.

Q: I have no internet connection?
Is this affecting every one of just one user?

All users: Reboot router and check broadband supplier
One user: Check cabling and/or that wireless is working on laptop and check broadband supplier

Q: I cannot get into a mapped network folder
Is this affecting every one of just one user?

All users: Investigation into network / cabling needed
One user: Reboot PC to gain fresh connection to domain. Could potentially be linked with folder permission issues.

Q: My VOIP phone cannot make or receive phone calls but others can?

Check network connectivity and reboot phone.
Otherwise investigation into registration of phone over network.
